When was the last time you sat in your doctors office, not
in an exam room, even if it’s just to discuss your cholesterol?
Dr. Goodman is devoted to caring for you completely with
consideration to thoughtfully addressing your issues and concerns
with generous appointment times. Seeing all of his patients himself
personally, in a traditional practice with modern conveniences , Dr.
Goodman has wanted to practice medicine since birth.
Born in rural Manhattan, Mark’s first words were “blood pressure”,
or at least blood pressure lowering. As high school Valedictorian,
he dreamt of what he does now, providing nurturing care for
generations of families including pregnant women and all types of
family units.
Having won multiple academic scholarships, including UCLA’s
highest honor and one awarded from the Los Angeles County
Medical Association, he attended UCLA for his Bachelor of Science
in Biology, finishing with Honors in his department. He was recruited
by the UCLA School of Medicine, which he finished with the Dean’s
special recognition for curricular development regarding the care of
the patient.
Beginning while at the UCLA School of Medicine, he has been
continuously involved in the improvement of care to Internal
Medicine patients in major hospitals and the community, and has
been a member of the Medical Ethics Committee at UCLA.
Before practice he earned a Diplomate of the American Board
of Internal Medicine, and has maintained that alongside teaching
medical students as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine
at UCLA. Still volunteering on the UCLA School of Medicine
Admissions Committee, he is a Full Attending Physician at
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he had been appointed to the
Department’s Performance Improvement Committee.
He has annually been awarded the Consumers Research Council’s
Top Doctors Award from 2005 through 2016. He stays fit by running
if he is late, skipping dessert, and other methods he’ll share with you
at your visit, and remains active in the American Medical Association
